logo-rideon Rideon 09Taiwan, December 6th-10th is the date for this years Rideon on product launch. Expect to see some amazing new products from Fox Suspension, Pedros, Crank Brothers, The Hayes group (which includes Sun Ringle and Manitiou), FSA, Magura, Mavic and others.

Although the show is this year (08) the product presentations won’t before 08-09 items but instead 2010!! So keep your fingers crossed for hover wheels from the brothers Crank, brakes controlled by your mind from Hayes and Magura and expect a fork with working adjustment from Manitiou (best not to expect much from these guys).

If you want more info on the show check the official web page here: Rideon 08

You can always count on Topgear to think of an interesting way to road test the latest sporty little city car, and this was just excellent! Racing a Fiat 500 across Budhapest against two top BMX riders.

We’ve been out and about exploring our old haunts and found some new places to ride. If your familiar with the TV tower in Qingdao, or you want to come riding with us check this out. Photos after next ride (maybe:))
First starts at the top and we go down the usual track until the big rock. After the big rock we head straight in to the trees opposite, down the track over the fallen down wall and down past the jump we made. The end of this section is through the twisty tracks to the river. This first loop is all downhill off road. After this its a quick road uphill back to the TV tower (takes about 5-10min).

The 2nd track takes us down a slightly different path and to the left. Its twisty and a little steep, but easy going. At the end of this section we meet the regular path and ride up (as far as your legs can) to the top of the rocky DH (where we usually stop for punctures). Instead of riding the rocky DH we continue up to the base and then up an easy uphill to the beginning of the long DH. We finish this section as usual (down the dh with the natural berms) with a slight detour, then back to the TV tower again.

The final ‘loop’ is just the usual root we take, but with a slightly different start. Down the rock up the track, down the rocky DH ………. etc etc then instead of riding up and through the bermy section we turn left in to the twisty tracks and to the end of the ride.

If you fancy coming along with us we’ll be riding at 9am on Sunday. We’ll be doing 2 loops plus a bit extra that I’m still planning. Send us an email or leave a comment.
