Day 1: Taipei Bike Show 08, New Products

    Thursday, March 13th, 2008 @ 10:52 pm | Events, New Products, News

Every year companies attend the Taipei Bike Show and show us their latest creations. Here are some of the excellent pieces of design work shown yesterday. (sorry for the quality of the images in advance)

    Kindshock

Kindshock had two great looking components on show, one was another telescopic seatpost and the other was the Ride Remote adjuster.

Kindshock Cobra i950 SeatpostThe Cobra i950 is said to be a ‘Revolutionary’ height adjustable seatpost. It uses a gas oil system to offer an infinate number of height positions at the touch of the lever. One great new feature for this post is the inclusion of ‘one way bearings’ these are said to offer a much smoother operation and also prevent unwanted play.

kindshock-ride-remote-air-adjuster.jpgKindshock also had their Ride Remote on show. This looks like an amazing little component! The ‘Air Adjuster’ fits to any air shock or suspension fork and allows you to adjust the air pressure in your suspension without the need for a shock pump. The Ride Remote looks to be compatible with any shock which uses a standard schreader valve, and is able to adjust air pressure from 0-180psi. This could be just what you need when dialing in new suspension, on an epic ride or just to use in an ‘emergancy’

    KMC

kmc-tank-chain.jpgKMC had a new ‘Tank’ chain to show off. The Tank Chain features a unique outer plate construction with strong impact resistance. Great for grinds!

    Topgun Suspension

carbon-topgun.jpgHad yet another version of their elusive travel adjust fork on show. This version uses a one-piece carbon and magnesium lower to improve strength and weight, it also incorporates an oil & air remote lock out/adustment.

We’ll post more Taipai Cycle news as we get it.
